The famous and talented artist Rihanna won the top entertainer award for the second consecutive year at the popular Barbados Music awards.

“I am always delighted to win awards, but it‘s especially great to win awards at home,” she said. “I‘m actually working on my third album, so you will be seeing and hearing a lot from me in the upcoming months.”

Rihanna who moved to the USA in 2005 for her career, defeated out Mary J. Blige Mary J. Blige and Beyonce for the best female artist of the year award last month at the Billboard Music Awards.

Her albums, “A Girl Like Me,” and  “Music of the Sun” were launched on the Def Jam label. Island Def Jam Group is a unit of Universal Music Group, a subsidiary of Vivendi, a French media and telecommunications company.

Well, I think that when Rihanna came out people gravitated towards her because she was new, and people like newness. In terms of talent that’s okay. I think she has far to go still in terms of voice control, breathing and diction, including her general performance. She seems to be over focusing while she’s singing and not relaxed enough; and when the vocal cords aren’t relaxed the sound of the voice isn’t 100%

Rihanna has some talent… however she would sound better if she did lots more voice training focusing mainly on voice control, breathing and diction. She gets out of breath so easily and lose pitch when she has to move. She also needs to work on her live performances… is she wants to improve she needs to be a lot harder on herself and work on her voice until it gets to that star quality.

Rihanna has some talent. She is popular because she is new on the market. However I think she has a long way to go. She needs some extra voice training lessons, working on range, pitch, control and breathing. She can also improve on her general performance as it lacks natural charsima. (She seems to be working at performing and not really performing.) The masses see her as cute now, but she now has to step out of the cute bubble and challenge herself vocally and performance wise, because there will be a time when cute won’t cut it anymore.

i think rihanna is a beautifull stunning talanted young lady. my sister recently saw her whilst she was on tour with p.c.d. My sister and others who saw them perform said p.c.d were horrid singers and rihanna was 100% brilliant in comparison to the p.c.d she out sung them totally! She has so much going for her in the future and deserves it. xxx
